"What is history? An echo of the past in the future; a reflex from the future on the past."
- Victor Hugo
Echo Uribe envisioned EchoSpeak as a platform to promote historic preservation in a straightforward and engaging way. Working with non-profit organizations, she connects experienced preservationists with those new to the practice.
After earning her B.S. in Radio-TV-Film, from The University of Texas, Echo worked as producer, writer, and editor for over a decade. In 2004, she embarked on an entirely new career supporting historians and history programs as a researcher, program coordinator, and administrator. She completed her M.A. in Historic Preservation from Goucher College in 2016, and has continued to hone her craft as a volunteer and promoter of preservation.
Echo's primary interests include historic preservation, space history, military history, and film and television history.
